Hartwood

DESIGN DIRECTION + VISUAL IDENTITY + COLLATERAL + WEBSITE DESIGN

For Hartwood, a boutique residence nestled in Sunnyvale’s historic “Land of Heart’s Delight,” the visual identity, collateral, and digital experience were shaped to reflect the property’s emphasis on meaningful connection, hospitality, and a slower pace of living. At the center of the system is a monogram H—two shapes leaning into each other like neighbors in conversation—capturing the spirit of openness and community that defines the Hartwood experience. The design language draws inspiration from the property’s orchard past also echoed by the interior architecture: block‑print motifs and the wordmark’s letterforms are rooted in natural textures—a nod to the trees that once thrived where the property now stands. The identity evokes presence, comfort, and ease. Across print and digital touchpoints, the brand invites genuine interaction and reflects a place where residents are encouraged not just to live, but to leave their imprint—on their neighborhood, and on the evolving story of Silicon Valley.

My contributions to Hartwood were executed as a contract designer for Revolver New York. Project details available upon request.

Hotel Champlain

DESIGN DIRECTION

Perched on the edge of Lake Champlain, Hotel Champlain captures Vermont’s effortless blend of natural beauty and refined comfort. Since its reopening, the hotel has honored its legacy while embracing a fresh, inviting spirit that feels both timeless and welcoming. The visual identity reflects this balance. Its clean, contemporary logo and minimalist typographic system echo the simplicity and geometry of the hotel’s exterior, creating a quiet dialogue between brand and building. These modern elements thoughtfully complement more expressive, handcrafted artwork inspired by the lake and surrounding landscape. The illustrations nod to natural textures—wood grain, stone, water—adding depth and a quiet sense of place. A palette of deep blues and misty neutrals grounds the system in its environment. Every element was thoughtfully shaped through a cohesive design vision to evoke a sense of calm and connection, inviting guests to slow down, reconnect, and savor the moment.

Launch Alameda

DESIGN DIRECTION

Set on the edge of the marina in Alameda, California, Launch offers a fresh vision for waterfront living—one rooted in the island’s small-town charm and forward-looking spirit. The visual identity captures this momentum and optimism, balancing utility with warmth. A custom wordmark with angled crossbars and a distinctive “L” icon reflects both movement and place—anchored, yet dynamic. Graphic compositions inspired by the shimmer of light on water bring rhythm and texture to the system, rendered in a sun-bleached coastal palette of marine, salt, ochre, and coral. Typography moves fluidly across curved lines, echoing the rise and fall of tides, while each element works in concert to express a vibrant, welcoming brand—one that invites residents to launch into the next chapter of life in Alameda.

Atara

DESIGN DIRECTION

Set in the awe-inspiring desert of St. George, Utah, Atara Desert Color Residences offer an oasis of modern calm amidst sun‑bleached rock, wide skies, and raw terrain—balancing rest, adventure, and connection. The visual identity reflects this duality, framing a narrative of elevated hospitality and grounded wellbeing, where residents are invited to slow down, reconnect, and feel more deeply at home—in themselves and in their surroundings. Inspired by trail maps and travel badges, the design language speaks to those drawn to the path less traveled. Hand-drawn line work, stamp-like textures, and a compass icon evoke the celestial canopy and the expansive sense of being off-grid. A typographic “AT” device anchors the brand in place—symbolic of arrival, alignment, and a shared sense of orientation. A sun-warmed palette drawn from desert soil, sandstone, and shifting light brings warmth and depth to the system, inviting transformative experiences through nature, design, and belonging.

Hotel Washington

DESIGN DIRECTION + LOGO LETTERING

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the capital, Hotel Washington blends historic gravitas with unapologetic style. Since opening its doors in 1917, the hotel has been a steadfast landmark, carrying a rich and storied history that informs its unique character today. The visual identity channels this unexpected duality, pairing classic D.C. sophistication with playful, modern flair. A hand-lettered script wordmark and monogram introduce an expressive, personable tone, while custom illustrations by artist Amit Greenberg add energy, character, and a sense of wit. Deep, polished tones and crisp metallics evoke the building’s marble and brass finishes, creating a palette that feels both rich and current. Every touchpoint was designed to reflect Hotel Washington’s singular personality: bold, stylish, and not afraid to wink.

Sanctuary Cap Cana

DESIGN DIRECTION

Set within the haven of Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, Sanctuary Cap Cana is a luxury all-inclusive resort designed to enchant. The visual identity draws from the property’s rich mix of architectural styles and lush surroundings, balancing elegance with a sense of wonder. A refined serif wordmark, rendered in radiant gold foil, evokes the grandeur of the resort’s romantic spaces and elevated service. Fantastical illustrations of native flora and fauna—paired with intricate borders, seals, and ribbons—layer in texture, story, and a sense of escape. Jewel-toned hues inspired by papayas, ocean tides, and palms bring vibrancy to the system, while the SC monogram and ornamental details nod to the magical realism woven into every guest experience. The result is a brand world that invites residents to slow down, dream big, and write their own fairytale in this tropical sanctuary.
